Who we are / What we do

Council 6063 is the local Foxborough/Sharon Chapter of the Knights of Columbus, a fraternal service organization dedicated to the ideals of Charity, Unity, Fraternity, and Patriotism. Our mission is to put our faith into action by supporting the local community, our Catholic parishes, and families both locally and globally.

Our Council meetings are typically held on the first Friday of each month. We are proud to serve St. Mary’s Parish in Foxboro and Our Lady of Sorrows in Sharon, providing manpower and financial support for parish life.

How We Make an Impact Locally:

     

      • Community Events & Youth Programs: We host popular annual traditions like the Breakfast with the Easter Bunny on Palm Sunday, complete with egg hunts for parish children. We also sponsor youth athletic challenges, such as our Basketball Free-Throw Contest and soccer challenges.

      • Scholarship Opportunities: Every year, we award multiple scholarships to local students, including the Paul Reynolds Memorial Scholarship for seniors with a commitment to service and the James Stark Memorial Scholarship.

      • Faith in Action: Our members actively maintain and set up Nativity Scenes on the Foxborough Common and participate in Honor Guards for Confirmation and other major liturgical events.

      • Charitable Giving: We lead the annual Tootsie Roll Drive to support local individuals with physical and mental disabilities, run Red Cross Blood Drives, and participate in the Coats for Kids program to keep our neighbors warm during New England winters.

      • Support for Life: We contribute the proceeds of our annual Mother’s Day Rose Sale to local pro-life initiatives, such as Abundant Hope.

    Global & Regional Support:

       

        • As part of the world’s largest Catholic fraternal organization, we also contribute to the Global Wheelchair Mission, Special Olympics, and disaster relief efforts to help those in need around the world.
